SAN FRANCISCO - July 13, 2022 - Osso VR, the leading virtual reality-based surgical training company, announced the release of its new podcast series, The Slice, celebrating the disruptive technologies, startups, entrepreneurs and trailblazers pushing the boundaries of medicine.

Hosted by Justin Barad, MD, co-founder and CEO of Osso VR, orthopedic surgeon and pizza enthusiast, The Slice will feature unfiltered conversations with accomplished experts in health, business and tech to explore how they are applying technology to disrupt healthcare, and detail their strategies for developing, scaling, and adopting game-changing ideas. Clinicians, CEOs, founders, investors and other industry insiders will also share powerful lessons from their entrepreneurial, academic and professional journeys and the best slices they’ve had along the way.

The first two episodes of The Slice are streaming now and are available on all major streaming platforms. 

Episode one features Sunny Kumar, a physician, seasoned entrepreneur and partner at GSR Ventures, one of the most successful early-stage venture capital firms in digital health. Kumar, a former practicing physician and a successful healthcare technology entrepreneur, discusses the pivotal moment that changed the trajectory of his professional career, what drew him into and away from a traditional career in medicine, his entrepreneurial journey, and advice for other entrepreneurs looking to make a transformative and sizable impact in healthcare. Episode two features distinguished orthopedic surgeon and robotics expert, Dr. Cory Calendine. Known as the ‘Bone Doctor’ by his 140k TikTok followers, Dr. Calendine details how emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, virtual reality and the IoT are revolutionizing the public conversation around medical optimization and the orthopedic solutions’ industry at-large.
