Before venturing into the games industry Matthew worked as a scientist at the University of Washington and holds a patent for a pharmacological treatment to Leber’s Congenital Amaurosis, a hereditary genetic condition that causes blindness.
Ultimately his love for video games drew him towards Technical Art where his technical aptitude combines with his appreciation for art (and artists!) to catalyze art production.
Matthew has now spent over 13 years as a Technical Artist working on numerous games such as Halo 4, Halo 5 and the upcoming Halo Infinite, as well as numerous other projects during his tenures with Sony Online Entertainment, CCP, Microsoft and Apple.
Matthew has experience in several video game art disciplines including character, environments and FX which gives him a solid breadth of knowledge to draw from. Matthew is thrilled to combine his love for video games and science in the groundbreaking work being done at Osso VR.
