Associate Medical Illustrator
Fei studied Biology and Fine Arts with an emphasis in Illustration at the University of San Francisco. He later earned a MFA in Medical Illustration at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). For his master’s thesis project, Fei collaborated with researchers from the University of Rochester Medical Center’s Center for Musculoskeletal Research and RIT’s Biomechanical Imaging Lab to create a 3D animation to demonstrate to other researchers and grant committees their mouse flexor tendon repair model to assess tendon healing via ultrasound and its potential applications. Over the past few years Fei has worked as a freelance illustrator working on projects ranging from concept art/illustration and portraiture, to creating figures and short animations for researchers affiliated with Personalized Healthcare Technology (PHT180) at RIT.
