Farah is a biomedical artist who grew up between California and the Middle-East. She has always been interested in the intersection of science, art and the humanities and earned a B.S. in Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior from the University of California, Davis, where she also minored in Studio Art and Sociocultural Anthropology. After working with patients for several years, she decided to pursue a Masters in Biomedical Communications from the University of Toronto in order to bridge healthcare communication gaps. Farah is committed to creating engaging work that is both educational and accessible. As the inaugural UCSF Artist in Residence, she has hosted several workshops on storytelling during the pandemic, and continues to explore how we can visually communicate scientific stories.
