Associate Medical Illustrator
Christina Pecora is a certified medical illustrator that strives to transform complex medical content into measurably effective educational content to improve student, physician, educator and patient success. Christina earned a BFA in Illustration and a Medical Illustration Certificate from California State University, Long Beach. While there, Christina’s passion for anatomical science and art led her to teach a supplemental anatomy course while simultaneously prosecting for two years which led to publishing a prosection manual with a colleague. She continued her education by attending Augusta University where she earned her MS in Medical Illustration. After graduation, she worked at a medical school where she lead instructional design initiatives and training and bio visual resource creation. Initiatives to support the local low-health literacy patient population were of focus. In her spare time, Christina enjoys spending time with her family, painting and being in nature.
