      Justin is a board-eligible orthopedic surgeon with a Bioengineering degree from UC Berkeley, and an MD from UCLA, where he graduated first in his class. He completed his residency at UCLA and his fellowship in pediatric orthopedics at Harvard and Boston Children’s Hospital.

      Justin originally wanted to be a game developer. When a personal family health incident introduced him to the world of healthcare, he decided to find a way to combine his passions and use his technology background to solve medical problems. During his residency, he identified what could be one of the most pressing medical challenges of this century: how we are training our surgeons. With a strong interest in gaming and a first-hand understanding of the challenges facing residents and experienced doctors, he co-founded Osso VR with a mission to improve patient safety and democratize access to modern surgical techniques.

      Justin wrote about medical technology as an editor at Medgadget for over a decade. He has spoken at multiple conferences including TEDMED, CES, Exponential Medicine, and Health 2.0. He also currently serves as a member of the Consumer Technology Association’s Health and Technology Fitness Division Board of Directors.

      Dr. Alessandra Ross is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with sub-specialty expertise and in Sports Medicine.
      After graduating from Georgetown Medical School, Dr. Ross accepted a six-year residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center which included a year of clinical research.  In 2013, she completed a sports medicine fellowship at the prestigious Andrews’ Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Alabama.
      Dr. Ross has had an unconventional professional career including  time spent overseas in the military.  She served two years in South Korea followed by deployment to an international forward-based combat surgical unit in Afghanistan. She has been awarded a NATO service medal as well as four U.S. Army commendation medals. Her time in remote and austere environments has helped her become creative and adaptable in the care provided for her patients.
      In addition to drawing from experiences as a war veteran, Dr. Ross’ multifaceted understanding of her field has been rooted in her zest for sport and lifetime personal experiences in athletics.  A member of the 2000 US Olympic Track and Field Team as an 800 m alternate, she has a deep appreciation for immersive technologies which can enhance training and improve performance.
      Infused with a passion for safe, equitable health care and accessible surgical education, she is excited to leverage her diverse experiences and join the Osso team as Senior Medical Expert.

His work as show supervisor for ILMxLab helped garner the first special Oscar award since 1996 for Director Alejandro Inarritu’s VR experience Carne y Arena and Emmy nominations for projects such as Vader Immortal.

      He was recruited away from Cryptic to join Oculus right as the Facebook acquisition closed in 2014. He has experience creating three-dimensional concepts, texturing/shading, rigging and animating, and optimization with destructible and physical object workflow delving into technical art for AAA games, as well as managing and giving feedback to outsourcing departments. Jeremy approaches his operations with great attention to detail and impeccable work ethic, and strives to constantly improve himself and those around him. From a young age, Jason has been awed by the characters created with visual and special effects and with the technology of video games. Films such as Alien and Jurassic Park, along with his supportive family and special effects artist Uncle, Bryant Holt, inspired Jason to pursue a career in bringing characters and creatures to life. He went on to earn both his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from Savannah College of Art and Design in 3d Animation and Sequential Art respectively, focusing his study on 3d Modeling, Sculpting, and Human/Animal Anatomy.
      Since then, Jason has contributed to beloved worlds of entertainment including the Halo video game series and HBO’s Westworld: A Delos Destination VR experience, which received an Emmy for “Outstanding Creative Achievement in Interactive Media” in 2017. He also has had the opportunity to contribute further in the VR and AR space at Facebook Reality Labs and Amazon, pushing the boundaries of what can be achieved within interactive media.
      Jason continues to push his passion for digital and traditional realism to the next level, studying Forensic Facial Reconstruction in his spare time with the goal of becoming certified in the field. His love for anatomy and realism is ever-constant, and is a driving force in all that he creates.

      Before venturing into the games industry Matthew worked as a scientist at the University of Washington and holds a patent for a pharmacological treatment to Leber’s Congenital Amaurosis, a hereditary genetic condition that causes blindness.
      Ultimately his love for video games drew him towards Technical Art where his technical aptitude combines with his appreciation for art (and artists!) to catalyze art production.
      Matthew has now spent over 13 years as a Technical Artist working on numerous games such as Halo 4, Halo 5 and the upcoming Halo Infinite, as well as numerous other projects during his tenures with Sony Online Entertainment, CCP, Microsoft and Apple.

      Ken Bock is a graduate from Art Institute of Atlanta with a Bachelor’s degree in Game Art and Interactive Media Design. With a demonstrated history of working within the animation, design, and marketing industries as a 3D modeling, texturing, and environment artist. Notably, he has deep experience in designing, modeling, and texturing in both a stylized and realistic manner.
      Utilizing these skills, Ken has competency in environmental modeling for various animated TV shows and movies. As a result, he has impacted positively on the multiple Emmy award-winning
      show Archer from Floyd County Productions. Also, having the pleasure of working within Apple’s marketing team, creating high-end models to meticulous detail.

      Akin is a 3d modeler that specializes in creating hard surface assets. He graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in landscape architecture and he later attended Gnomon School of Visual Effects where he received a certificate in digital production. Since graduation, he has worked on movies, commercials, theme park rides, and virtual reality experiences. Some of the studios he has worked for include Industrial Light & Magic, Blur Studio, JibJab Bros. Studios and Pearl Studio. Akin’s other interests consist of digital painting, environment design and concept art.

      Michael is a 3D Environment and Prop artist with the goal of making real-time graphics look cinematic. After getting a Masters in game art from The Guildhall at SMU, he has help created simulations for the military and Department of Energy. This led her down a path of receiving her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience at University of California, Los Angeles. She spent this time getting involved in the medical community through clinical research, public service, and inevitable design work.

      Emily spent many of her extracurricular hours developing informational pieces for her research organizations and community clubs. As the president of Team HBV, a nonprofit that raises awareness of the importance to get vaccinated for hepatitis B, she developed diagrams, brochures, and even short comics to reconfigure complex scientific material into a digestible narrative for patients. The same task carried over into her clinical benchwork at the UCLA department of pediatric neurology, where, aside from conducting statistical analyses and publishing papers, she designed banners, posters, and patient
